DUM - BALL ROCKS
This ( 8"W - 14"H - 8"D ) rock is mounted on two pine slabs, one in back and one
for a shelf. The "DUM-BALL ROCKS" machine is made from a brandy snifter and a 3" clay flower
pot, with the 3" clay saucer used as the top with a round knob. There is a large
grinning rock sitting on top to watch that a person don't spend all their money on my
Rocks. There are a few "Lucky Rocks" inside the machine and one in the out
tray. Instead of Gum-Balls, I call them Dum-Balls, for people that buy little
rocks. As you can see any money collected, will go to the Needy Rocks, or was it the Greedy Rocks?
The sign reads:
DUM - BALL ROCKS
Your 25 cents is well received in our Rock Foundation for needy Rocks.
Only a DUM - BALL would pay 25 cents for a little Rock. Right?
Yet, why do many, pay hundreds of dollars to place tiny rocks on a ring.
